Our Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules that apply when you use TELEAUORA’S Services.
By using our Services, you agree to follow this AUP. This AUP forms part of your Contract with TELEAUORA.
If you do not comply with this AUP, then in accordance with out Terms and Conditions we may suspend or restrict your Service, and we may terminate your Contract.
Words that are capitalised have the meanings given to them in our Terms and Conditions.
1. General Principles
You must use our Services lawfully, responsibly, and in a way that does not negatively affect other customers, TELEAUORA’s Network, or the wider public.
You must not use our Services in any way that:
breaks the law or helps someone else break the law
interferes with the operation or security of TELEAUORA’s Network
harms or disrupts other users
infringes the rights of others (including privacy, copyright, and intellectual property rights)
2. Illegal or Harmful Use
You must not use the Services to:
2.1 Commit or promote unlawful activity
Including (but not limited to):
fraud or identity theft
harassment, stalking or online abuse
making or receiving malicious or nuisance calls
distributing illegal content
purchasing or selling prohibited goods
encouraging or assisting criminal behaviour
2.2 Infringe intellectual property
You must not upload, share or download copyrighted material without the necessary rights or permissions.
2.3 Distribute harmful or offensive material
You must not use the Services to store, transmit or access:
content that is threatening, abusive, defamatory or discriminatory
child sexual abuse material
extremist or terrorist material
malware, viruses, ransomware or similar harmful software
3. Network Security & Integrity
You must not do anything that could damage, disrupt, or interfere with:
TELEAUORA’s Network
other telecommunications networks
any devices or systems connected to our Network
the security of the Services
This includes:
attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems
scanning or probing networks without permission
distributing malware or running infected devices
using your connection to carry out denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
altering or tampering with TELEAUORA Equipment
If TELEAUORA reasonably suspects a device on your network is compromised, we may temporarily block it for security reasons.
4. Fair Use & Network Management
To ensure a high-quality service for all customers, you must not use our Services in a way that:
causes unreasonable network congestion
bypasses network controls or restrictions
uses automated systems such as bots to send excessive traffic
TELEAUORA may take proportionate steps to protect the Network, including traffic management measures that comply with Ofcom requirements.
We do not impose general data usage caps unless stated in your Contract.
5. Hosting, Servers & Equipment
Unless your Contract explicitly allows it, you must not:
run commercial servers (web, email, FTP, game servers, etc.) on your home broadband connection
operate relay servers or open proxies
provide your connection to others outside your household or business premises
You must take reasonable steps to secure your own devices (e.g., set passwords, install security updates).
TELEAUORA Equipment must not be misused, tampered with, resold or transferred without permission.
6. Protection of Others’ Data & Privacy
You must not use our Services to:
intercept traffic intended for another person
access another person’s data, device or account without permission
violate privacy laws or data protection rules
If you process any personal data while using our Services, you must do so legally and responsibly.
7. Reporting Misuse
If you believe that the Service that we provide you under your Contract has been misused, or you suspect someone else is using our Network unlawfully, please report it immediately: hello@teleauora.com
We will investigate in accordance with the law and with Ofcom requirements.
8. Action We May Take
If you breach this AUP, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions TELEAUORA may take reasonable steps including but not limited to:
contacting you to resolve the issue
suspending your Service
restricting certain types of traffic
terminating your Contract
cooperating with law enforcement, regulators or other telecommunications operators
We will always act proportionately and will normally contact you before taking action unless doing so would risk harm or unlawful activity continuing.
9. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time - the latest version will always be available on our website.
We will notify you of material changes if you are a Customer.
